Atheist perspective on Evangelism

This has become one of my favorite videos. An Atheist shares his experience of being on the receiving end of proselytizing, and it is not a bad experience. In fact, he describes his views of those who believe in Heaven and Hell and yet choose not to share their faith with others. He summarizes his opinion this way, “How much do you have to hate somebody to not proselytize?”

With respect to how one should approach the subject, he feels, “with that kind of goodness it’s ok to have that deep of a disagreement.”

Some good thoughts here; it’s well worth 5 minutes of your time!

  1. Absolutely love this video. I think every believer should watch this and be reminded that maybe we don’t always know how the other side thinks or feels.

  2. Thanks for the comment. A major thesis of my book is that we should ask lots of questions before we dive into giving answers. You know, be better listeners. Maybe if we did that then we would naturally get to know how the other side thinks and feels.

Thoughts? Objections? Let me know...
